Our mission, vision, and values—shared across our whole organization—are available on our “About Us” page.
At the heart of what we do is a desire to uphold each person’s dignity. A safe space, a kind word, a warm shower, or a simple meal are small gestures that help remind people of their inherent worth.

shelter hub
-
Located upstairs at Metro Central (1262 St. Paul Street) and a partnership with NOW Canada, Canadian Mental Health Association Kelowna, Metro Community Centre Kelowna, and BC Housing.
The Shelter Hub provides housing support and referrals for individuals, couples, and families who have lost their housing, are seeking shelter admission, or are staying outside, people who are currently housed who may be facing eviction, and people who are marginally housed. Provides help to find alternatives to the shelter system. When alternatives are unavailable, will offer placements into shelters in the Kelowna and West Kelowna area, considering needs and wraparound supports available. Also offers financial support with transportation costs to return to natural supports. Drop-ins are welcome. Serves Kelowna and West Kelowna. Hours are 9:30 am to 3 pm Monday to Friday; closed on statutory holidays.

people power.
day-storage program
Metro Central offers a day-storage program that allows for a short-term solution for many who don’t have a safe place to store their belongings. For many, this can give freedom and peace of mind when attending meetings, job interviews, doctor visits, and much more.
The storage program runs simultaneously with the Metro Cafe.
None of what we do would be possible without the incredible support of our community—our volunteers and donors. Both programs have welcomed more volunteers recently, which has made a significant difference. We truly can’t do this work without your people power. Thanks be to God for each of you who help us serve.
