About the Series
The Beatitudes: They reflect the heart of Jesus and His Kingdom here and now, and to come, they are the list of his Kingdom citizens. Through the Beatitudes, Jesus offers a blessing over the spiritually bankrupt, emotionally broken, abused and accused, weak and poor, humble and weak. He is righting the world and being revolutionary, and counter-cultural. They can apply to every area of our lives if we allow them. You can be a change-maker through living the Beatitudes. May God bless our Metro Community to be known as beatitude people.
About the Artwork
Picture sitting back somewhere on a discouraging day. You look up at the sky and see it's getting dark. Long night ahead perhaps. Those evenings, after long, hard days, so often bring heaviness that gets us thinking about our hardships. It's at that point, the point of discouragement when we're looking up at that heavy night sky, that Jesus intervenes with his reminders of blessings.
